Description
The SPOT Trace is the perfect tool to locate your polystyrene probe after it`s decent. The SPOT Trace is completely independent of the mobile networks and relies 100% on the built in GPS. Position data is transmitted through the network of Globalstar. Due to the robust and waterproof design, long-life batteries, motion alert and different live tracking options (2.5; 5; 10; 30; and 60 minutes) the SPOT Trace is the ideal tracking device for your stratoflight. The operating altitude of up to 60,696 ft / 18.500 m enables you to track a live signal during the ascent, but especially during the landing which makes the recovery much easier. The smartphone app provides you with the position data and additionally transmits it to Google maps. The SPOT Trace in combination with the GPS Tracker STRATOfinder are the perfect supporter for your successful recovery of the probe.

A very useful backup in addition to the TK102 for the recovery of the payload, worked perfectly fine. Works also during most of the flight (I received a position track from the balloon as it was flying at more than 30 000m), so a great way to get live updates on your flight.

The Spot Trace is a good addition to the TK102. I definitively feel better if I have a backup solution for the recovery.
