Description
The SPOT Generation 4 is perfectly suited for locating Styrofoam and stratospheric probes. The SPOT Gen4 uses 100 % satellite technology for this and works completely independently of mobile phone networks. The position data is transmitted via the Globalstar satellite network, which is available almost worldwide. The device is extremely robust and at the same time waterproof, offers long battery runtimes, motion alarms and live tracking in intervals of 2.5; 5; 10; 30 and 60 minutes. The position data are transmitted almost in real time. Due to the operating altitude of up to 18,500 m, the flight path of the weather balloon can be followed in real time during the ascent, but especially during the landing approach, which significantly speeds up the recovery. The SPOT app on the smartphone is very easy to use and, in addition to the position data, also offers the display of the position on a Google Maps map; in addition, the position can also be called up via the computer.
The SPOT Trace in combination with the GPS Tracker STRATOfinder are the perfect supporter for your successful recovery of the probe.
